SPEEDMAX AL

There isn't an alloy bike available that gets you to the finish faster than this one. The alloy version has inherited the genes of the Speedmax CF model, and for just 1499 Euro, will have you re-writing your personal best times in events in no time at all. The Speedmax AL could be your best weapon in the battle against the watch with its design, which is optimized to keep wind resistance down to a minimum. In addition, there's the ergonomic and adjustable seating position, which allows you to find the perfect position on the bike, and last but not least there's the optimized range of equipment that guarantees perfect function.

HORIZONTAL DROPOUTS

At Canyon individuality and in-house development are of highest priority. So it was never up for discussion to launch a fork with individual solutions on the market which was developed exclusively for the Speedmax. Not only does it blend in harmoniously with the outer appearance, but it also outstandingly complements the aerodynamically optimised frame. The wide fork legs route the air stream steadily into the complete system and as the first touch point to the wind they contribute an important part to the Speedmax's excellent aerodynamics.

AERO POST CF

Air turbulence on at the rear wheel can be minimised by using a seat tube which is perfectly aligned with the rear tire. That's why Canyon has developed the Super Aero-Shape seat tube. All frames are fitted with horizontal drop outs and allow any wheel or tire to be perfectly positioned in the seattube cut-out, thereby minimising the clearance between tire and frame. Because the smaller the clearance, the lower the air turbulence. In addition, the clearance between tire and frame which is required by the UCI (the thickness of a credit card) can be adjusted without any tools using knurled bolts.

INTERNALLY ROUTED CABLES

Looks good, saves weight and easy to replace: Canyon's internally routed cables. The particular feature: Even when the cables are not under tension they support each other and therefore do not rattle inside the down tube. How does this work? Due to the crossed routing inside the frame. Canyon has also considered the importance of easy cable re-fitting. Thanks to the large access opening at the bottom of the down tube the cables can be replaced within seconds. To prevent water from entering the frame the cables run through a plastic cover shielding the access opening from splash water.
