Even at first sight, you can see that it is an aero bike from its reduced frontal areas, teardrop shapes and the slim Aero Post CF. The concealed cables further improve the aerodynamics. The new Ultegra 11-speed groupset means you have a drivetrain that takes efficiency and comfort to a new level: slim, ergonomic carbon fibre shift levers, small lever movements for maximum shift precision and speed, better braking performance and excellent force transmission from the stiff four-arm chainset.
The plug-and-play package is rounded off by the super stiff and nimble Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLS WTS wheels and the high quality Profile cockpit consisting of the T2 Wing basebar with clip-on T3, J4 brackets and F35 armrests.

AERO FORK CF
with minimal frontal area
effectively reduces wind resistance
INTERNALLY ROUTED CABLES
avoid wind turbulence
Aero Fork CF
The Speedmax AL uses the same aerodynamically optimized Canyon Aero Fork TT Carbon as the Speedmax CF. The flat fork legs distribute the air flow reliably into the entire system and being the first point of contact with the wind they make an important contribution to the excellent aerodynamics of the Speedmax AL.
Just like the Speedmax CF, the tubes of the aluminium ‘time trial machine’ are modelled after the shape of a drop. The smooth welded seams enable a laminar air flow at the junctions and result in a harmonious overall look.
In order to keep the wind turbulences at the rear wheel as low as possible, the tire should be fitted perfectly into the recess on the Aero Shape seat tube. As the horizontal dropouts are adjustable without tools you can do this any time by simply using the thumbscrew.
Internally routed cables
With a clean look and protected from the weather, the shift cables run inside the frame. The crossed routing – patent pending – prevents any rattling in the down tube, as the cables support each other. This system also helps to avoid air turbulence at cable passages on the down tube.

Bikes in this category are designated for use on paved surfaces where the wheels remain in constant contact with the ground. This usually includes road bikes with dropped or flat handlebars, triathlon and time trial bikes. Maximum load including rider and luggage must not exceed 120 kg. This weight limit may be further reduced according to the limits set by individual component manufacturers.
