A lightweight bike isn’t groundbreaking. A stiff bike isn’t going to shatter expectations. A bike that’s aero optimised? It’s a given. Making one bike that perfectly embodies all these traits? That’s an entirely different—and breathtaking—feat of engineering. It’s also what makes this the ultimate racing machine.

The choice of our pro athletes, the Ultimate CFR’s frame is the embodiment of Canyon’s world-class carbon engineering expertise. The finest materials. Advanced lightweight engineering. Super-thin construction, with no drawbacks in terms of toughness thanks to specially placed reinforcement patches. This is the frame to beat.

A new integrated aero seatpost

The Ultimate looks even cleaner and sleeker with this clamp design. The clamp is hidden away in the seat tube, so there’s no extra drag. We combine it with a D-shaped seatpost to reduce air resistance in the seat tube area to an absolute minimum.

CP0018: a pro-level cockpit

With complete cable and line integration, get super-clean optics and reduced drag at the same time. And with single-tool adjustable height and width, big spacer stacks and time-consuming bar swaps are a thing of the past.

Aerodynamically optimised

On the road, from just 14 kph, aerodynamic drag is the largest force holding you back. So we optimised the frame forms for minimum drag, through an exhaustive process of wind tunnel testing in collaboration with aero experts Swiss Side. We also integrated the headtube/fork area as much as possible for extra aero gains.

Bike classification

Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain in permanent contact to the ground. These are in general road racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross and gravel bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tyre contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
