Nerve MR 8.0
Canyon proves once again that they are unbeatable in terms of value-for-money.
It's unbelievable! Such a range of equipment for a bike costing just 2000 € and a frame that costs just 1199 €! When one considers the price of just the rear derailleur, it rapidly becomes clear that it was a stroke of genius from Canyon that a bike of this quality could be offered at such a low price. This applies in particular to the Nerve MR 9.0, with its full XX group set for only 2499 €. Canyon has a knack for delivering top quality bikes at mega low prices and the Nerve MR 8.0 is no exception. This frame is full of innovations that make it a benchmark. Anodization, tubing, gussets and rear brake mount to name but a few. The front triangle looks fairly standard, but is more complicated than one might imagine. Integrated cable routing, conical head tube and the list goes on. The entire ensemble is just awsome. The specs are also dream-like and include, XT, XTR, Fomula RX1, DT Swiss fork, ... Once the set-up is done, the Nerve MR becomes an efficient marathon machine. Good frame stiffness, lock out on the fork and numerous other innovative features all contribute to making the Nerve MR 8.0 a superb bike. The comfort is appreciable, because of the sensitivity of the fork and rear shock. The Wheels DT Swiss X1700 are the same as on 3 of the 4 models in the MR range. On this bike, they are the right compromise between efficiency and reliability, even though the freewheel body is not built with a ratchet system. The transmission is faultless, the Shimano shifting system works accurately and this is coupled with the class appearance of the internally routed cables.
It is difficult to fault the new Canyon Nerve MR 8.0
