What is a freeride MTB?

A freeride MTB is a type of mountain bike designed for aggressive riding on challenging terrain, such as steep descents, drops, and jumps. These bikes are built for durability and performance in bike parks and other freeride mountain biking areas.

What does freeride mean in MTB?

Freeride in MTB refers to a style of mountain biking that emphasises technical skill, creativity, and pushing limits. Freeride mountain biking often involves riding challenging terrain, performing tricks, and exploring new lines.

What is the difference between trail and enduro mountain biking?

Trail mountain biking is focused on all-around riding on a variety of terrain types, from smooth singletrack to more technical features. Enduro mountain biking is a racing format that involves timed downhill stages and untimed uphill sections. Enduro bikes are typically heavier and have more suspension travel than trail bikes, making them better suited for technical descents. Freeride mountain biking is a style of riding that can incorporate both trail and enduro features, but often involves more extreme terrain and trick riding.
