What is leasing?

Lease a Bike lets you get the Canyon you want and pay for it monthly straight from your salary. Because the payment comes out before tax, you end up saving money on the total cost. Most riders save up to 40 percent, depending on their employer’s setup.

You can choose any Canyon bike, including e-bikes, and pair it with approved accessories. The minimum order amount is €499 including accessories. All approved accessories are listed below.

Some employers set a maximum spending limit, so check with your HR team before applying. Remember to include the cost of the Bike Guard and shipping in your order. To use Lease a Bike, your employer must be signed up with the service

How to order with Lease a Bike – employees

Step 1 - Register in the Lease a Bike portal using the unique link from your employer. Once approved, you will receive your order code to buy a leasing bike.
Step 2 - On canyon.com, choose your bike and select Lease a Bike as the payment method. Use your order code during checkout, order your bike, and we’ll ship it to you.
Step 3 - When your bike arrives, check everything is correct, and if you decide to keep it, return your completed contract acceptance form to Lease a Bike.
Step 4 - Get riding as your lease begins, with the option to buy the bike at the end of the term.

Lease a Bike FAQs

- Most employees can lease a bike if their employer participates in the programme. Eligibility criteria such as minimum employment duration and part-time status depend on employer policy. Self-employed people can also lease a bike after completing Lease a Bike’s onboarding process.
- The minimum order amount is €499 including accessories. Some employers may set additional limits.
- You can only return your bike if you have not yet signed and sent the contract acceptance form to Lease a Bike. Once you have signed the form and it has been submitted to Lease a Bike, your order can no longer be returned.
- If your situation changes, contact your employer first. Depending on your circumstances, options may include transferring the lease to a new employer, transferring it to another person, purchasing the bike, or returning it.
- Every lease includes theft and damage protection covering sudden or unforeseen incidents such as theft, accidental damage, vandalism, and damage to the motor or battery. A mobility guarantee is also included.
- Yes. Lease a Bike requires an annual service to keep your bike in good condition. A servicing package is available for a fixed monthly fee, and your protection package includes a budget that can be used for inspections and wear-and-tear items.
- Yes. Every bike comes with a comprehensive protection package, available in three levels: Basic, Premium, and All-Inclusive. Each package includes a budget for inspection and wear and tear, and you can choose the option that best fits your needs.
- Around three months before your lease ends, you will receive a purchase offer. You can choose to buy the bike or decline the offer. If you decline, Lease a Bike will arrange to pick up your bike for free.
