Highlights Lux World Cup CFR Untamed

A 1,575 g carbon frame
Light footed like the springbok, the Lux World Cup CFR Untamed frame weighs just 1,575 grams (DIN standards), making it one of the lightest full-suspension MTB frames on the market. Remarkably, it remains durable, strong, and stiff despite its startling weight.

Ready for anything DT Swiss suspension
The top-tier stiffness to weight ratio and 2 position suspension lockout of the DT Swiss F232 One fork and R232 One shock is ideal for riding across the harsh terrain of the Cape Epic. With 110 mm front and 100 mm rear travel, this elite setup is finished in a limited edition colourway and gives you the edge over the competition.

It climbs and climbs and climbs
Find yourself smashing extreme elevation on a bike that won’t quit climbing. The advanced kinematics, efficient shock position and rocker link, and anti-squat values help it dominate Marathon races, conquer gruelling stages, and challenge for the overall Cape Epic win.

It rips descents too
There’s no point in leading the pack on the climbs if they’re going to overtake you on the way down. Equipped with the lightest weight components on the market: the DT Swiss D232 ONE dropper seatpost lets you tackle steep downhill sections while the new DT Swiss XRC1200 wheelset guarantees comfort and compliance at any speed.

Clean, sleek cables designed for racing
Fully integrated cables isn’t just an aesthetic choice but also designed to give your peace of mind when your sole focus is the next lap. Unlike semi integrated cables, usually routed over the bottom bracket, there’s no risk of debris build up or track snags ruining your race. In the long term, there’s no risk of smaller particles harming the integrity of your frame, keeping your race ready for longer.

Shaving grams, boosting performance
We’ve eliminated every last unnecessary gram so that you have the most efficient experience possible. Creating a carbon flex pivot, developing a lighter rear triangle, and upgrading the bearings means only the essential remains.
Inspired by the South African Springbok
Light, lean, swift: as the national animal of South Africa and a symbol of the country's wildlife and natural heritage, we used the beautiful springbok as inspiration for this stunning special-edition colourway.
Stay hydrated
All Lux World Cup CFR models have space for mounting two large bottles – even on the smallest bikes in size XS. So you can keep pushing the pace lap after lap.
IPU (Impact protection Unit)
Our latest IPU – short for Impact Protection Unit – is perfectly integrated into the frame at the headset and protects the top tube from over-rotating handlebars in the event of a crash. The system doesn’t affect the bike’s manoeuvrability – you can still turn the bars far enough to nail the tightest switchbacks on the course.
High-end CeramicSpeed bearings
The most ambitious athletes need the best parts to give them the best performance. That’s why Lux World Cup CFR bikes are fitted with premium, super long-life CeramicSpeed bearings all over – we use them on the frame, headset, and bottom bracket. They aren’t just lighter, they’re also super-smooth and are especially resistant to corrosion and rust.
Superlight 3.6 g chain guide
In the heat of the race, dropped chains cost wins. We use an unbelievably light 3.6 g chain guide to ensure your chain stays on the crank no matter what. Compatible with all common chainring sizes.

Bike classification
This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-2. In addition it includes use on harsher, unpaved terrain.
