Shaving precious watts from the bike that dominated Kona every year since its launch is one thing. Doing it while adding the superior control of disc brakes is a next-level engineering feat. We did it using advanced aero development methods with our aero partners Swiss Side.

We sculpted the fork to be as stable as possible in sidewinds while also being as aerodynamically efficient as possible. We save additional watts by covering the brake calliper, which can cause extra drag. The result: top aero performance, top handling.

By stepping outside UCI regulations, we could build thinner 8 mm seatstays for less drag. The thinner forms also increase the distance between the seatstays themselves, optimising air flow around the rear wheel.

The bottom bracket box gives you storage for inner tubes or additional bike maintenance kit. Part of the frame’s carbon structure, it’s made from ultra-rare Toray MX40 carbon fibre and contributes to improving the frame’s aerodynamics stiffness.

By fully integrating the bento box into the frame, we reduced weight while also improving stiffness and aerodynamics. A newly designed high-grade lid lets you get inside the box in an instant.

Developed with hydration experts Hydrapak, this bladder is invisibly integrated into the down tube of the Speedmax, providing plenty of hydration with no need to change your position.

Some courses (and triathletes) call for an aggressive slammed cockpit position. Other longer, bumpy courses require more height. With simple out-of-the-box cockpit adjustability, you can choose whatever position your ambition demands.

Grip reach, width and rotation can all be adjusted to give you the best position possible. We designed our arm pads, base bar grips and extension grips in collaboration with Ergon for exceptional comfort and durability.
