Fully integrated cables isn’t just an aesthetic choice but also designed to give your peace of mind when you’re sole focus is the next lap. Unlike semi integrated cables, usually routed over the bottom bracket, there’s no risk of debris build up or track snags ruining your race. In the long term, there’s no risk of smaller particles harming the integrity of your frame keeping your race ready for longer.
Shaving grams, boosting performance
We’ve eliminated every last unnecessary gram so that you have the most efficient experience possible. Creating a carbon flex pivot, developing a lighter rear triangle, and upgrading the bearings means only the essential remains.
Ready for anything remote lockout
Adjust your ride on the fly with our handle bar controlled remote lockout. Whether you’re tackling a spicy downhill section or sprinting for the finish line, the 2 position suspension lockout, easily accessible from the bar gives you in-race adjustments and the competitive edge.
Stay hydrated
Sustain peak performance, stay hydrated right to the finish line. To make it as easy as possible to access your bottles, we reccomend using Canyon Sideloader bottle cages - just slide the bottle out sideways whenever you need to hydrate.
Integrated cable routing
Routing brake and shifting cables and lines from the handlebar through the frame creates a super-clean look and keeps your bike running smoother by protecting everything from the elements. And on the Lux, we’ve taken one step further – by routing them directly through the headset, even less cable is exposed for maximum benefit.
Impact Protection Unit 2.0
Our latest IPU – short for Impact Protection Unit – is perfectly integrated into the frame at the headset and protects the top tube from over-rotating handlebars in the event of a crash. The system doesn’t affect the bike’s manoeuvrability – you can still turn the bars far enough to nail the tightest switchbacks on the course.

Bike classification
This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-2. In addition it includes use on harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.
