The Neuron:ON is Canyon’s definition of a true do-it-all trail e-bike – an e-mtb that, with its beautifully composed, balanced handling, is perfect for incredible off-road adventures. Now, the Neuron:ON is back for 2022 – equipped with the latest components and sporting a range of sensational new colours, this bike’s the ideal choice for both long-time MTB fans and newcomers to trail riding alike. And thanks to the bike’s powerful Shimano EP8 motor and impressive battery power, it’s ready to explore the most remote trails you can find.

The Neuron:ON features a superbly balanced suspension setup with 120-130 mm front travel (depending on spec) and 130 of rear travel – a combination providing plenty traction on the rough stuff. It’s enough hardware for any off-road challenge, from short, sharp climbs to technical descents. And to make the very most of the travel on offer, the rear triangle features Canyon’s proven Triple Phase Suspension kinematics – creating incredible small-bump sensitivity at the start of the stroke, a solid platform in the mid-stroke, and extra capability, stability, and control when you’re using all the travel at the end of the stroke. Furthermore, to create consistent riding dynamics for all riders across the complete size spectrum, the Neuron:ON also scales wheel sizing according to frame size, with XS-S bikes rolling on 27.5-inch wheels, and M-XL bikes featuring 29-inch wheels.

All models are built around high-grade aluminium frames and come complete with Shimano EP8 motors which quadruple the rider’s power as they pedal – delivering natural-feeling support, three assist levels, and a punchy 85 Nm of peak torque. Just like the wheels, the bike’s battery size also scales according to the frame size. Sizes XS-S have 504 Wh batteries, with M-XL bikes packing a big 630 Wh of charge. This year, Canyon are also introducing a few important updates to the Neuron:ON. Most notable are a range of new frame colours and fresh components, such as FSA Comet cockpits (width: 740-780 mm) and Fizik Terra Alpaca saddles. To make full-suspension e-mtb performance available to more trail riders than ever before, Canyon are expanding the Neuron:ON range to four bikes with a new, more accessible entry-level offering, the €3,799* Neuron:ON 6. The Neuron:ON 6 features RockShox suspension – a 35 Silver fork and Deluxe Select rear shock – as well as Shimano shifting and a dropper post like on all other Neuron:ON models. The Neuron:ON 7, available from €4,299*, comes fitted with a FOX Rhythm fork, FOX DPS Performance shock, and a Shimano 1x12 groupset. Depending on frame and resulting battery size, the Neuron:ON 8 comes in at €4,699-€4,899* and has FOX suspension – Rhythm Gabel and DPS Performance shock – as well as Shimano XT 1x12 shifting and Rodi Tryp aluminium wheels with 30 mm internal diameters. The flagship Neuron:ON 9, available from €5,499*, comes with a RockShox Pike Select+ fork and Deluxe Select R shock, SRAM GX 1x12-gearing and H 1900 wheels from DT Swiss.

The Canyon Neuron:ON is available from 22 February, exclusively at canyon.com.
