Short chain stays guarantee sportive, but not nervous handling, a lower bottom bracket a good position "in the bike", and a short headtube a neat and tidy ride uphill. The new carbon 29er scores just as high as its alloy counterpart with a well balanced geometry, which is perfectly matched to meet the needs of the 29er wheels. The newly designed frame is based on the experience already gained with the Grand Canyon AL 29 and makes full use of the advantages of carbon, employing every trick in the book. The perfect combination of carbon fibres achieves outstanding stiffness and comfort levels. The X12 thru-axle at the rear and the 15mm thru-axle at the front increase levels of stiffness as well as guaranteeing precise handling and an efficient transmission of power. In 2012 Alban Lakata already succeeded in winning the Trans Alp Challenge and the Leadville 100 marathon on the new Grand Canyon CF SLX 29.
The Grand Canyon CF SLX 29 Frameset is equipped with a Cane Creek headset, Ritchey WCS seat post and Canyon seat clamp.
