AL – metal rules

Introducing the next generation of robust, high-performance aluminium frames. Just like its carbon counterpart, the AL frame meets our category 5 testing standards – ready for the most demanding trails and biggest jumps around. Compared to its predecessor, this completely new development is 200 g lighter thanks to its updated tube shapes – all while improving stiffness at the same time. Steel thread inserts increase the bike’s longevity.

Next-level capability

Enjoy maximum performance and crush the most technical trails around. The new Torque has a progressive geometry, which lets you ride faster and smoother than ever before. It’s all possible thanks to a slacker head angle, steeper seat tube angle, longer reach (465 mm in size M) and a longer wheelbase. In contrast to the carbon models, the Torque AL comes without a flip chip – but it combines the advantages of both settings, with a slack 63.5° head angle (LO), and steep 78° seat tube angle (HI).

Internal cable routing

The bike’s cables and lines run cleanly through a foam hose inside the front triangle, eliminating rattling and protecting everything from the elements.

Bike classification

These bikes can be used by technically adept and experienced riders to tackle very challenging, extremely steep terrain with a high number of obstacles. In this category, big jumps are to be expected as well as intensive use in bike parks or on downhill courses. It is essential that these bikes are fully examined for any potential damage after every ride. Further use when using damaged parts could lead to a major component malfunction. In addition, safety-relevant parts should be replaced at regular intervals. Wearing appropriate protective gear is absolutely essential. This category includes long-travel full-suspension bikes as well as dirt bikes.
