To win XC races at the World Cup level we had to make the Lux exceptionally light without sacrificing performance and durability.

We drew upon years of carbon fibre expertise to create one of the lightest full-suspension bikes on the scene. Including the rear shock, the Lux CF SLX frame weighs in at a mere 2 kg!

By optimising the carbon layup of the Lux we’ve guaranteed that the bike isn’t just lightweight, it’s also durable enough for serious riding on the world’s toughest tracks.

Suspension Evolution

Modern XC courses are gnarly, and to ride them all-out, a racer needs to have the utmost confidence in their suspension.

The updated, lightweight linkage and lateral shock position of the Lux put it at the forefront of modern mountain bike technology.

Not only does the linkage save on grams, the new shock position has less friction loss due to changes in force direction and a lower leverage curve that enhances overall sensitivity and responsiveness.

The result is a lighter bike that simultaneously offers improved traction, control and comfort.

The new linkage on the Lux uses carbon-reinforced construction to keep the weight low, strength high, and use far less material than its predecessor.
Award-winning Form & Function

The new linkage and shock position of the Lux apply the award-winning Canyon design language to an advanced race-winning technology. The result is a clean, functional and dynamic racing machine with space for two bottle cages!
Quick Release Through Axles

Just like traditional quick release skewers, our new, specially-designed through axles can be easily removed and replaced without the use of any tools.
Carbon Protection

As a race bike, you should be able to push the Lux to its limits - and to give you peace of mind - our patented Impact Protection Unit is in place to protect your handlebars from hitting your frame in the event of a crash.
No Dropped Chains

The Lux is a racing weapon and was constructed with no option for a front derailleur. Instead it uses an unbelievably light 4.5-gram chain guide to ensure your chain stays on the crank no matter what.
