Madrid by bike: the regional Governmet subsidizes the purchase of urban e-bikes.

It’s official: Madrid is embracing pedal power. The government of the Community of Madrid has announced up to €600 of financial support for the purchase of pedal-assisted electric bicycles (e-bikes) for urban and suburban use. And Canyon wants to complement this by lowering some of its models so that you can save a total of up to €1,000.

The purchase of this type of bike between 1 January - 15 November 2020 will be subsidised with up to €600 or 50% of the purchase value – on bicycles with a sale price of up to €4,000 – as long as they meet as standard certain technical specifications.

For this reason, for all adults residing in the Community of Madrid, Canyon has decided to reduce some of our models so that you can access these grants – resulting in significantly higher total savings.

Which e-bikes are eligible for these grants

On the Canyon Pathlite:ON 8.0 and new Precede:ON CF 8 and Precede:ON CF 8 ST models, you can get a discount of €400 and €300 respectively, using the discount code #MadridEnBici.

In addition, the Canyon Pathlite:ON 7.0 also meets the technical requirements required to receive this grant as standard, so if you purchase it before 12 November, you can also apply for financial aid from CAM.

Remember that to access these discounts additional to the subsidies, the order must be made with one of the following payment methods: credit card, PayPal, or Splitit. With orders made by bank transfer as a form of payment, the discount code is not valid.
