What’s special about a gravel bike?

Gravel bikes for men are the all-rounders among our performance-oriented bikes. These do-it-all bikes easily take on any surface under their tyres. Do you want to take a dirt road shortcut on your next ride? Where the road bike ends, the gravel bike is just beginning. Wider tyres and a longer wheelbase make it an all-terrain bike. If your off-road route was longer than planned, that’s not a problem. The geometry and seating position on the gravel bike are designed for efficient power transmission. Leave the roads behind you in a cloud of dust!

What equipment does a men’s gravel bike come with?

Gravel bikes use similar equipment to road bikes and cyclocross bikes. More recently, component manufacturers have developed dedicated parts for gravel bikes. Gravel bikes have more tyre clearance to cater to the mud and dirt. Disc brakes offer excellent stopping power no matter the weather. The gears on gravel bikes are either SRAM, Shimano or Campagnolo, though they are optimised for off-road riding. Depending on the mode, the frame will be aluminium or carbon.

Optimised for men

At Canyon, everyone will find the right gravel bike for their height, build and riding style. We produce our unisex frames from 2XS to XXL size to accommodate individual differences between men and women. Components such as the saddle are tailored to the sexes. In short, Canyon’s gravel bikes for men are made for you.

Should I get a road bike or a gravel bike?

Where do you want to ride? This is the question that decides whether a road bike or gravel bike is the right choice.

Road Bike

Road bikes are pure speed vehicles. They’re fast, quiet and optimised for tarmac roads. If you want to reach high speeds and beat other riders to the finish line, we have a range of men’s road bikes that’ll do just the job.

Get off road with a gravel bike

With a gravel bike, you can open up new horizons away from main roads. A slightly modified frame geometry and larger tyre width ensure better off-road capability. A gravel bike for men feels right at home on easy terrain. Gravel roads, cobblestones, forest paths and even singletrack are perfect for these all-round bikes. Multi-day rides, bikepacking and overnighters are also ideal for a bike adventure. You can safely mount or stow luggage racks, bags and accessories using the mounts on the frame and fork.

Still undecided? Our endurance bike is a road bike with 35mm of tyre clearance that offers grip and comfort. Check out our endurance road bikes.

Frame materials: more than just looks

Are you an ambitious cyclist who values premium products or are you looking for an entry into adventure with a gravel bike? Depending on the use, the frame material of the bicycle can make all the difference.

  • Carbon Gravel Bikes – cyclists who pay attention to weight cannot ignore the high-quality carbon frame. With their lightweight construction, these models are stiff yet comfortable. Carbon is fun!
  • Aluminium Gravel Bikes – the price:performance ratio and slightly higher stability are key characteristics of aluminium gravel bike frames. The proven material is a go-to for riders looking for a budget-friendly option.
