In this article, you will learn how to find the perfect saddle position on your Canyon road bike. Click on "View more" to read the whole article.
-
-
-
On Aeroad CF SL models which do not feature full integration, swapping out the cockpit is possible to any other system, provided the stem is compatible with a 1 ¼” steerer. On Aeroad CF SLX and CFR models which feature full integration, this is a proprietary system that enables simple cockpit height and width adjustment. Stem length on each size is carefully selected using our extensive PPS data and, in our experience, is the correct length for most riders.
-
-
-
Triathlon extensions are not currently compatible on the new Aeroad.
-
-
-
160 mm is the maximum rotor size, which come as standard on all but the smallest sizes. It is possible to downsize to a 140 mm rotor as well.
-
-
-
All new Aeroads come equipped with saddles with round rails and saddle clamps for round rails. Should you wish to swap for a saddle with oval rails, we offer an adapter for oval rails in our webshop.
-
-
-
The new Aeroad comes equipped as standard with 52/36 chainrings on all 700C sizes, and with a compact 50/34 on 650B sizes on Aeroad CF SL models. It’s possible to fit a compact chainset on any Aeroad. The maximum compatible chainring size is 54-tooth.
-
-
-
As on any road bike, oval chainrings are compatible with the Aeroad, however here we recommend setup from an experienced mechanic to avoid any shifting issues.
-
-
-
The new Aeroad features increased tyre clearance over its predecessor. The maximum tyre size possible is 30 mm for both front and rear.
-
-
-
The maximum cassette size depends on what groupset your Aeroad has. For SRAM Force and RED AXS groupsets the maximum cassette size is 33-tooth. For Shimano-equipped Aeroads the maximum cassette size is 30-tooth.
-
-
-
The latest generation of Aeroads have a 9mm higher stack and 5mm shorter reach in a size M, which when measured at the cockpit results in a riding position that mirrors that of the Ultimate. With the new Aeroad a key goal was to open up the benefits of the best aerodynamic performance to even more riders.
-
-
-
Improving aerodynamic performance was the key goal in the development of the new Aeroad, which required months of intensive Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis. During final validation in the wind tunnel we gathered the results against the previous Aeroad CF SLX, simulating a speed of 45 km/h and yaw angles between +/- 0° – 20°. With the bike alone we measured an improvement of -7.4 watts over the previous Aeroad. With our leg dummy we measured an improvement of -4.4 watts. With our leg dummy and 2 bottles we measured an improvement of -5.4 watts. The previous Aeroad was already an aero benchmark for years, and the new Aeroad is even faster still.
-
-
-
Spacers on the new Canyon Aeroad are proprietary parts designed to match the form of the cockpit and provide a solid interface with the frame. We do not recommend using different spacers to the ones delivered with your bike.
-
-
-
The maximum system weight for the bike, including rider, is 100 kg for the Aeroad.
-
-
-
There’s space for up to 38 mm tyres on the Inflite.
-
-
-
Right here on the Canyon webshop.
-
-
-
The Inflite does not have mudguard mounts, because it is a dedicated race bike. Want mudguards? Explore the Grail gravel bike range.
