The geometry of the Torque has changed a lot in 2012. "The wheel base has been shortened, the bottom bracket has been lowered and the steering angle adjusted. The Torque FRX 9.0 Flashzone is now firmly embedded in the DH category of bikes."
"The Flashzone is terribly well equipped for its category, especially with its 40 RC2 Fit Fox suspension and its CaneCreek Double Barrel shock absorber. The transmission and the braking are taken care of by the SRAM X0 groupset. One also cannot fail to notice the presence of a Code stirrup at the front. In addition, the bike also has nice Mavic Deemax Tubeless wheels. Nice components are all over the bike. This range of equipment makes this bike one of the lightest DH bikes around."
The Torque FRX 9.0 Flashzone handles superbly and "performs very well on tight and grassy bends with its excellent grip." The bike offers the rider high levels of comfort when the trail is very tough and rugged. "The wheels stick to the ground like glue and the handling at speed on the downhills is nothing short of perfect. Overall, the Torque is a bike that can take everything that the trail has to throw at it and forgives the rider for his mistakes."
It's great fun to ride this efficient downhill machine which sticks to the trail like glue whilst still retaining its playful handling characteristics.
