Bikes which are fitted with the Reverb Stealth may sometimes be delivered in the Bike Guard with the right-hand brake lever and remote lever removed.
This is how you fit these parts:
1. Place the seat post in the frame and close the quick release. Picture1 The seat post must be inserted inside the frame at least as far down as the lower edge of the top tube. The quick release must not be over tightened, but you should also not be able to turn it in the frame.
2. Put the Torx-Bit onto the Canyon Torque Wrench as shown. Picture2
3. Bikes fitted with a simple bracket: Position the bracket around the handlebar and tighten the fixing bolt/screw to 4Nm as shown. Picture 3 Picture 4
4. Matchmaker brackets have two bolts/screws. Assemble the Reverb remote lever and the brake lever. First tighten the front bolt/screw to 4Nm as shown in image 5 and then the rear bolt/screw also to 4Nm. Picture 5
5. The line for the right-hand brake lever runs ahead of all the other cables in front of the handlebar and into the frame on the left side of the down tube. The line for the remote lever runs closest to the head tube before it enters the down tube.
If your Reverb seat post no longer delivers optimum function, check that the seat clamp is fitted correctly. The seat clamp should be tightened so that you can’t turn the seat post inside the frame.
If the seat post and frame are alloy, it is necessary to grease the seat post prior to fitting. If either the frame or seat post are carbon, please apply assembly paste to the seat post before fitting.
Never bleed the Reverb or Reverb Stealth seat post yourself. This work should be carried out exclusively by a competent mechanic. This also applies to any required air pressure adjustments.
