You can use larger brake discs with both American and European sizes if you fit an appropriate adapter. If you opt to use an adapter, one speaks of the so-called Postmount. If the caliper is fitted without an adapter, one speaks of the so-called Direct Mount.
6" Postmount: Nerve series, Lux CF 29", Grand Canyon AL and CF series
7" Postmount: Spectral AL, New Torque series 2010, Torque EX and DHX, Strive series, Torque FRX Serie from 2012
IS2000: Inlite AL, Lux MR, Torque ES and FRX series until 2011, Stitched series and Yellowstone series
Larger brake discs can also be fitted to the suspension fork with both American and European sizes.
Attention:Ensure when fitting that the fork is approved for use with the relevant brake disc diameter. Failure to do so could result in damage to the fork!
Our bikes are approved for use only with brake disc diameters which are factory fitted.
These values are recommended if not other values are given either in the manuals of the manufacturers or printet on the bicycle part. Always mind the instructions of the manufacturers for dismantling and detaching of brakes. Ensure that all screws and bolts are tightened to the correct torque. The correct torque is indicated on the component itself, in the bike manual provided with your new bike, or here in the Technical Support Center.
