When developing the Ultimate, our goal was to strike the perfect balance between lightness, stiffness, comfort, robustness, and aerodynamics. The result? The most balanced, best-value road bike on the scene.

An ergonomic carbon cockpit

Developed in-house at the Canyon HQ, this lightweight, stiff aero one-piece carbon cockpit features a race-inspired design for optimal control and precision. A smooth, straight transition from the bartape edge to the top bar guarantees super-clean aesthetics. And ergonomically optimised drops make room for a tight, locked in thumb position for extra comfort and grip. Stay comfortable, stay aero, stay fast for the long haul.

Clean cockpit: semi-integrated cables made simple

Neat, tidy, simple to maintain – with the Ultimate’s cockpit-mounted Cable Integration Unit, enjoy all of the benefits of integrated cables with none of the drawbacks. The unit discreetly routes all your cables and lines under the stem area, before leading them directly into the frame through the head tube. And the semi-integrated design means cable swaps are quick and hassle-free.

High-grade carbon layup

The CF combines the cutting-edge innovations of the SLX and CFR platforms with a carbon layup that strikes the ideal balance between durability and value. By using specially selected fibres, the carbon layup sets the benchmark in terms of toughness.

Aerodynamically optimised

On the road, from just 14 kph, aerodynamic drag is the largest force holding you back. So we optimised the frame forms for minimum drag, through an exhaustive process of wind tunnel testing in collaboration with aero experts Swiss Side. We also integrated the headtube/fork area as much as possible for extra aero gains.

A watt-saving, comfortable carbon aero seatpost

The Ultimate looks even cleaner and sleeker with this clamp design. The clamp is hidden away in the seat tube, so there’s no extra drag. We combine it with a D-shaped seatpost to reduce air resistance in the seat tube area to an absolute minimum. Plus, it’s also simple to adjust so you can easily find your perfect riding position thanks to independent setback and tilt adjustment.

Bike classification

Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain in permanent contact to the ground. These are in general road racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross and gravel bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tyre contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
