"Light, agile and comfortable. The Torque Vertride shows that it is extremely versatile with a potent suspension and ingenious equipment". Very good! This was the verdict in Mountainbike magazine (08/2012).
Hours of carrying the bike remote from any form of civilization; blocked and steep descents, which others would only dare to attempt with a climbing harness. Wild frontier experiences – adventure – Vertride. For this you need a bike that you can rely on during such rides. Equipped with the reliable XTR shift components, stiff Race Face SIX C carbon crankset and durable Mavic Crossmax wheels, you will whizz up towards the peak of the mountain on board the Torque EX Vertride.
Once you're at the top you can concentrate entirely on the challenge ahead – the ride several thousand metres downhill into the abyss! In order to overcome this challenge a well functioning suspension is an absolute must! The lowerable Fox RC2 FIT with Kashima coating absorbs everything. Make full use of the 180mm of travel in your search for the holy trail. The vario seat post is another crucial component in order to achieve the ultimate in ride fun. The RockShox Reverb Stealth with remote lever can now be fitted to all models. Perfect geometry, premium components and stylish design all combine to make every ride on the Torque EX Vertride a real adventure.

"I start the climb with the ski lift, twiddle my way a further 300 hundred metres of elevation to the summit and then really shred the single trails."Tibor, canyon Hero

On the bottom bracket you can mount adapter plates for the ISCG-05, as well as for a Shimano E-Type front derailleur. This allows you to ride the Torque either with chain guide, Hammerschmidt crank set or with a 2 to 3-speed chain ring. The adapter plates are available separately as accessories.
Through a special arrangement of the four bearing points of the rear triangle, the 180 mm of rear travel will remain absolutely bob free even during pedalling. At the same time pedal kickback is reduced to a minimum.
By using a scale on the lever and a drag indicator on the bearing, you can easily read the used travel. Thus, tuning the suspension is a breeze.
Postmount standard and Syntace X-12-Thru Axle
180 mm and 185 mm brake discs can be directly attached to the frame without an adapter. This Direct- (Post) Mount attachment saves weight, increases the stiffness of the brake and facilitates tuning. Next to advantages concerning weight and stiffness the Syntace X-12 Axle provides a 100% accurate positioning of the rear wheel and brake disc. The easy handling makes a wheel change as fast and smooth as never before.
