Cykeltidningen Kadens has tested our entry level model, the Grand Canyon AL 6.0, and found a low priced bike good enough for a top position at the Swedish Championships. Kadens notes that it is a very affordable forest cycle that is good at many things, a wise choice for 90% of their readers.
The test, conducted under harsh Swedish winter conditions, compared expensive and budget price ranges, where the price difference on the two bikes in the test was almost SEK 50.000 (almost 5.000 Euro) and where the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 was representing the budget bikes. Sure enough, the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 is low in price, but Kadens admits that they were fooled in the test and thought the cycle "ought" to cost around 20.000 kr (around 2.000 Euro), i.e twice as much as it actually does!
Kadens put the two competitors through a tough duel, and among other things ran a 2.5-kilometer test track. The time difference between the two bikes was small and the Grand Canyon AL was, according to all the test riders, the fastest, safest and most fun bike on steep downhill tracks.
Kadens nominates a test winner in the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 and notes "the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 is the proof that good and fun cycling can be cheap."
The winner in Cykeltidningen Kadens "expensive vs budget" duel is the Grand Canyon AL 6.0
