Lighter, more powerful, more versatile: Shimano’s new EP8 motor heralds the beginning of a whole new era of e-MTB riding. Its powerful motorised support now feels even more natural, and a longer range lets you ride further. What’s more, you can tune the motor to fit your riding style and terrain using an app.

USB-C

Extra power on tap! To activate the Shimano EP8 motor, simply press the top tube-integrated :ON button. You can pick between three support modes – Eco, Trail, and Boost. And there’s also an integrated USB-C charging socket for charging your smartphone, lights, or other devices.

Triple Phase Suspension

The rear end’s Triple Phase Suspension design provides sensational ride quality over any terrain. Sensitive small-bump response gives you top traction and control. With a stable platform in the middle section, you can keep momentum and speed over bumps and ruts. And on the descents, the suspension ramps up progressively for huge confidence and stability.

Shimano’s accurate and reliable XT shifting features a 12-speed cassette to give you a huge 510% gearing range that will keep you pedaling no matter how steep or technical the ascent. With durable and precise performance, enjoy smooth shifting on any trail.
Saddle

Canyon SD:ON

Our SD:ON saddle was designed inhouse especially for e-MTB. Its wide nose and raised back supply extra support on steep climbs and long rails leave plenty of room for adjustment. Need more space to manoeuvre on the descent? The Iridium dropper post offers up to 150mm of travel depending on frame size.
Suspension Fork

RockShox 35 Silver, 130mm

Specially designed for e-bike riding, this fork combines a plush coil spring with thick 35 mm stanchions for excellent sensitivity and high stiffness levels. There’s also space for up to 2.8”-wide tyres and a short or long mudguard. Externally adjustable rebound damping makes setup simple but effective.
Disc Brake

Shimano Deore 4-piston, front brake

E-MTBs need powerful brakes with plenty stopping power. We combine Shimano’s 4-piston MT6120 calliper on the front with a 2-piston MT6100 calliper on the back, together with big 203 mm rotors for a setup that setup inspires confidence through consistent and reliable braking.
