profile

“All top performers need to watch their weight”, with this in mind we created the Spectral AL 9.0 SL. Lightweight, rigid and efficient – the Spectral AL guarantees hours of riding kicks when out on the trails! Especially for our flagship model, we teamed up with DT Swiss to develop the high-performance XM 1450 Spline 90 wheels. Weighing in at an astonishing 1460g for the pair, the wide set, featherweight and robust rims provide excellent grip through corners and rapid acceleration. DT 190 hubs with ceramic bearings also keep weight down and run extremely smoothly.

When ripping it downhill the composed chassis works in perfect harmony with the Fox Factory forks and rear shock, both finished with friction-reducing Kashima coating for even greater responsiveness. We haven’t left anything to chance with the drivetrain either. Lightweight Sram XO throughout, the crankset with 38/24t chainrings, shifters and Type 2 derailleurs provide crisp, rapid-fire gear changes while ensuring the chain remains securely on the rings. The new Spectral AL turns even the most challenging trails into an absolute joyride.

Bike Classification

Bikes in this category include those from categories 1 and 2 and are designed for harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.

Canyon Through Axle

Postmount standard
Thanks to the Post-Mount brake socket at the rear wheel, we no longer need an adapter and connecting bolts. This not only saves weight but also simplifies the adjustment of the brakes.

Canyon Through Axle
The new Canyon through-axle system delivers maximum rigidity to the rear wheel with its 12 mm through-axle. Compared to other through-axle systems, the rear wheel is mounted fully on the dropout which means that the wheel can be fitted and removed more easily and faster.

Tapered Steerer
Steering precision is a key parameter for the ride characteristics of a mountain bike. Thanks to the tapered steerer headset stiffness is significantly increased.

Anti-Squat-Kinematics
Thanks to the position of the bearing points on the four-link, the so-called anti-squat kinematics, compensates pedal induced bob. Any lockout and high compression damping can be avoided. The rear triangle works sensitively, without any power loss and provides more comfort and traction.
