The Nerve is an incredibly versatile all-round performer that has long been the most successful model in the Canyon mountain bike range. The 120 mm chassis holds the ideal amount of travel for any riding scenario, whether enjoying some trail time, taking on a high-alpine epic or lining up at the next XC marathon. 27.5” wheels ensure supreme handling agility combined with fast rolling performance.
Complete efficiency is guaranteed thanks to the Canyon Through Axle System together with our proven Anti-Squat Kinematics to eliminate pedal bob on steep climbs, while simultaneously ensuring ultimate control and handling precision on fast, technical descents. Whatever you plan to ride, the Nerve takes all-round performance to the next level.
Steering precision is essential for all high-performance riding. Our Tapered Steerer increases the surface area in the fork shaft for imporved stiffness, working together with tapered fork shafts to give more direct resonsiveness at the front end to enhance handling and braking performance.
The special layout of the kinematic joints and levers ensures that the various forces eliminate each other. This suppresses squat without the suspension losing any of its sensitive response. The rear triangle works sensitively without power loss and offers comfort and traction.
Thanks to the Post-Mount brake socket at the rear wheel, we no longer need an adapter and connecting bolts. This not only saves weight but also simplifies the adjustment of the brakes.
The Canyon Through Axle system delivers maximum rigidity to the rear wheel with its 12 mm through axle. Unlike other through axle systems, the rear wheel is mounted fully on the dropout which means that the wheel is quicker and easier to fit and remove.
