Highlights

We love our mountain biking so much at Canyon that we took our time studying fat bikes before we developed our own. We wanted to make a fun hardtail fat bike that could absolutely kill it on the trails. With the Dude CF 9.0, we have just that. Keeping the carbon frame nice and light means that we can include a RockShox Bluto RL suspension fork. It will add a touch extra weight to the front end, but it will transform how you can ride the Dude CF. This will become the ideal all-round, four-season shredder. By optimising ground contact to keep the traction you need to up your speed, having the Bluto RL will give you the oomph you want to slam down trails, taking even the biggest jumps with ease. The gearing provided by the 10-speed Deore XT Shadow Plus rear derailleur and the 11-36 cassette combined with the 22-36 rings on the e.thirteen TRS for FATBIKE crankset will mean that not only will you be able to power through your downhill runs, but be able to churn your way back up the climbs for your next burst of excitement. And since we’ve focused on narrowing the Q-factor, you will be able to rail the berms as neat and fast as on any conventional mountain bike. The DT Swiss BR 2300 with the four inch Schwalbe Jumbo Jim tires will keep the weight down and mitigate rolling resistance to enhance your abilities to use this bike on the summer trails or winter snow packed roads. If you are keen to find the sort of uncomplicated joy on the bike that you remember from your first days of slashing through a forest, then buying yourself the Dude CF 9.0 will be like reliving the best days you’ve ever spent on a bike.

BIKE CLASSIFICATION: Bikes in this category include those from categories 1 and 2 and are designed for harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.
