Sporting achievement combined with comfort. Canyon is already ahead of the pack when it comes to developing comfort solutions for racers. We are taking things a step further in 2013, introducing Ergospeed for the first time on selected models. The winning formula has four components: 25 mm wide wheels, shock absorbing Canyon Ergospeed Gel handlebar tape, the comfortable, high end Selle Italia SLS saddle and the brand new Canyon VCLS Post 2.0. The Canyon leaf spring seat post takes a revolutionary approach, significantly improving riding comfort across the board and looking great at the same time.
There is 20 mm spring travel in the optimum compression direction in order to maximise impact absorption – yet the component only weighs 220 g and it is 100% maintenance free. Combined with trusted VCLS technology, the result is supreme comfort and performance. The Ultegra is a first class groupset for racers, and guarantees silky smooth and precise gear shifts. The new Ksyrium Elite wheels are lightweight and stiff, and they are equipped with a Wheel-Tyre system for optimal power transmission and rapid acceleration. Greater comfort for better performance and faster speeds – the Ultimate CF 9.0 ES will get you going

MAXIMUS SEATTUBE
ensures maximum stiffness
Maximus Seattube
The large contact surface of the patented Maximus seat tube and the oversized chain stays provide tremendous stiffness in the bottom bracket area and thus allow an efficient conversion of pedalling power. The hollow bottom bracket housing reinforces this effect again with its 66 mm oversized outer diameter.
Semi-Integral construction
The semi-integral construction method combines the advantages of the differential construction method (tube-to-tube) and the integral construction method (monocoque). Thanks to this method we can build frames with a high quality surface finish – well known from the monocoque construction – and also profit from the reproducibility and quality of the differential method.
One One Four SLX
A special laminate configuration on the patented fork bridge and the shape of the One One Four SLX carbon fork offer superior comfort values next to highest lateral stiffness. The unique tight-fit is achieved by the collar-shaped attachment in the transition area between fork crown and steerer tube.
VCLS Technology
Vertical Comfort, Lateral Stiffness – the VCLS Stays in conjunction with the VCLS Post effectively improve the suspension properties of the frame without affecting the lateral stiffness. The VCLS Blades on the fork, comprising a special combination of basalt and carbon fibers, complete the Canyon VCLS Technology.
