Nerve XC 8.0

MountainBike, 05/12

"More bike for less money". At the start of the season twelve touring full suspension bikes costing less than 2000€. All the test bikes had to undergo meticulous tests. The Nerve XC 8.0 won the test with flying colours.

The Nerve XC 8.0 entered the test with a first-rate range of equipment. The premium frame with internally routed cables is the heart and soul of the Nerve XC 8.0 and surrounded by a promising mix of high quality components. The bike climbs with majestic ease and the central position on the bike guarantees that the rider stays in full control even on the steepest of climbs. At the same time the front wheel stays firmly on the ground and doesn't give the rider jitters. And what about the rear triangle? It stays very cool and there is only minimal bob when the rider really puts the pressure on out of the saddle. The Nerve confidently flies down the descents and gives the rider a real feeling of safety with its wide handlebar and precise handling. The rear triangle absorbs big rocks up impeccably and is really sporty. In addition, the rider will be impressed by the great compromise between smooth running and agility, which makes the Nerve XC 8.0 a true fun machine downhill. Whether you're riding on steep climbs, on twisting trails or at high speed towards the valley, the Canyon feels as happy as Larry on the versatile test route.

The Canyon impresses right across the board. The bike cuts a superb figure on the climbs and descents. The bike's equipment is also fantastic. A clear test winner!
