Highlights

Perhaps you have resigned yourself to the fact that you’re probably never going to win the Tour de France or the Giro Rosa, but there is no reason why that means you don’t have to keep challenging yourself and improving your times. To talk about the Speedmax CF 9.0 LTD as some sort of second tier time trial or tri bike is pretty much nonsense, though, since it is the same frame that Trixi Worrack won the German time trial championships last year, and it’s the frame that has helped Nairo Quintana limit his losses to Chris Froome in the Tour.

The frame for the Speedmax CF differs slightly from the CF SLX. Most noticeably, the geometry features a slightly shorter reach and higher stack, so that you can expect to find a comfortable position for longer races and endurance events even if your flexibility is not at a WorldTour level. Another point that might sway you in the direction of the Speedmax CF 9.0 LTD is that it comes in four sizes instead of the three offered by its older brother. This will help smaller riders especially to find the perfect setup and position. The integrated V21 AL Aero stem and H30 CF Basebar handlebar system has been designed by Canyon to work with the Profile T4 Aluminium arm extensions that offer a wide range of adjustments so you can dial in the exact position you want. The tube shapes have benefited from advancements made with the CF SLX and have the Tirdent profile that has a rounded face to the wind with a chopped-off tail. It’s a shape that is not only very aerodynamic in a headwind, but extremely resistant to being blown about in crosswinds.

With the Shimano Ultegra Di2, you won’t have to worry about hassle with your components. So perfectly reliable and easy to use, it’s become a mainstay for any athlete who doesn’t have the benefit of a sponsorship deal. The Ultegra direct mount brakes will also be as reliable helping you to stay in control of your line even on sweeping descents. The Zipp aero wheelset will help there too by offering excellent rigidity for cornering and accelerations, and an optimized brake track. Using the 404 Firecrest in the front and the 808 Firecrest in the rear will guarantee the perfect balance for aerodynamic performance in a headwind, and crosswind control.

For anyone looking to improve some race times and even shoot for full Ironmans, then ordering the Speedmax CF 9.0 LTD will put the perfect bike for success right at your fingertips.
