The Rudy is available in 30 or 40mm travel options. Our Grizl model is spec’d with a 30mm-travel Rudy.

Short answer: No. It won’t slow you down.

Longer answer: The Rudy is designed to be active—that’s what enables it to mute the high-frequency chatter and vibration of gravel roads, while also handling bigger hits.

That said, the Rudy offers a fairly limited range of travel, when compared to a conventional mountain bike fork, so the fork is not bobbing up and down through its travel when you are motoring along.

What’s more, Rudy Ultimate forks (as equipped on our premium CF SLX Grizl model) also feature a lock-out switch, should you feel the need to run the fork absolutely rigid on certain stretches of your ride.

We’re working on it. The Grizl features an

steerer and we are looking to make suspension forks with that same steerer diameter available for you to buy direct from Canyon.

XPLR brings you gearing that feels natural both on and off road.

XPLR combines SRAM’s simple and reliable single-ring drivetrain technology with gearing intentionally designed for gravel riding—with plenty of range (440%) to clean big hills, tight jumps between the higher gears that you most commonly use on the road, and larger jumps between the lower gears (the 24-44t cogs) that you use when you’re climbing steep trails and fireroads.

Did we mention that XPLR is also electronic and completely wireless, easy to set up, and genuinely robust? It’s pretty impressive stuff.
